Fabulous Hotel It can certainly feel overwhelming trying to find the perfect place to stay when you have over a hundred hotels and guest houses in a beautiful spot like Torquay!

But as we all know, there's no better guide than a sincere recommendation—and that's exactly how we stumbled upon the Riviera Lodge Hotel. And let me tell you, we were absolutely thrilled!

This truly is a fabulous hotel, made even more special by the wonderful owners, John and Nicky. They couldn't do enough for us, ensuring our stay was perfect from start to finish.

The hotel itself is simply immaculate and spotlessly clean. The stylish decor creates a lovely, warm, and very welcoming atmosphere. Although we didn't get a chance to use the pool and hot tub, they looked incredibly inviting, especially lit up at night! We enjoyed relaxing in the cosy bar and conservatory areas, which are both beautiful spaces with a very well-stocked bar.

Our bedroom was just as pristine—spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and wonderfully quiet—perfect for a great night's sleep. And the highlight of our mornings? The English breakfast! John cooks it to absolute perfection.

We had such a wonderful time that we're already planning to return for a weekend next year. We wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend the Riviera Lodge Hotel for your next visit to Torquay!

What a great find , and This hotel and owners so good ! 1st visit to Torquay and definitely won’t be last perfection Amazing week here from start to finish the owners John & Nicki both work so hard and there staff to make sure you have the best time there always available and do make sure you have everything you need , we arrived Saturday to amazing room so clean nothing was out place , the hotel bar so stocked , swimming pool , Hot tub , pool table there’s nothing they haven’t thought about to make it so perfect , the rooms spotless and cleaned everyday towels changed and the staff work so hard , we had very comfortable bed always worry about sleeping when away from home but not here , Breakfast is amazing and cooked to how you want it fresh and what ever you want even if fussy like me no fat on bacon they even done that , extra scrabbled egg cooked to perfection, we never go for breakfast every day but here we’ve not missed it’s been that good , you fill your form in each morning and then Nicki and her staff do the rest , there is a heated pool and the best hot tub for us to use which we did , parking we always found a space but there is space on the road if Car park full , there’s nothing we’ve found to say we’ve been disappointed with John & Nicki really have thought of it all .

A wonderful stay! We stayed here for two nights in August. We arrived, were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, offered the light bite menu despite it being fast approaching the end of food service and were directed to our very spacious, perfectly equipped en-suite room.

The pool and hot tub were absolutely beautiful and a real treat! That, along with having a very well priced bar and light bites being available throughout the day made our time at the hotel simply superb!

The owners are absolutely phenomenal and made us feel so welcome - not always the case as a gay couple when we stay at private hotels or B&Bs.

Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious!

Our 3rd visit and will definitely be returning! The hotel and holiday business is not easy and so many businesses get it wrong, but that is definitely not the case here.

When I first found this hotel, my search was simple, I wanted a hotel with a good write up, that was near to town / sea and had a pool. I didn’t really know any more about the hotel, until we stayed there. For us we cannot fault anything. Here’s our list of why this is a great place to stay:
- Hotel is conveniently located and only a short walk to places for food and drinks. As well as a pleasant stroll to town.
- Rooms were well decorated, clean and comfortable.
- Bar was well stocked and prices reasonable. Offering lovely bar snacks too.
- Pool table and comfortable lounge area.
- Good sized pool and jacuzzi, with good lounge furniture to enjoy your drinks on.
- Delicious breakfast, which they have not scrimped and saved on ingredients.
And finally the best of all.. John and Nicki, the owners are brilliant, so welcoming and friendly, they will always try and help, as do the rest of their staff. They make sure you have an amazing stay especially helping this time to make our anniversary that little bit special.

Stayed for business but will definitely return for leisure. What a fantastic place. I stayed here when visiting for work. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the facilities are second to none. The hosts provide the personal touch that you just do not get in a chain hotel. I would definitely recommend Riviera Lodge to family and friends and look forward to returning for weekend away. Jewel of the English Riviera This hotel exceeded my expectations by far! Absolutely fantastic little get-away. Staff can't do enough to help you and are so lovely, welcoming and friendly, especially Nicki. It truly is a hidden gem on The English Riviera, ideal for a relaxing base of a holiday. Its spotlessly clean , gorgeous breakfasts and snacks, excellent pool and grounds but my favourite area was the bar! Always music playing to put you in the holiday mood and drinks were very well priced with lots of different gins to try! Met some lively friendly people here too during my weeks stay with my son. We truly enjoyed it. Thank you Nicki and John for all your hospitality. Their sons work hard too.

Love this hotel This was our 2 nd visit to the the riviera lodge & again was excellent.. Location is perfect, just a couple of minutes down to the front. Room was spacious & spotless 👌🏻. Breakfast choice is for everyone. Heated pool was a welcome bonus we’ve already booked for next year!!

Stunning hotel! Fantastic hotel with wonderful hosts. Hotel is spotlessly clean. The pool and hot tub are amazing. Its a 10 minute walk down towards the beach, does have a slight hill on the way back. The rooms and ensuite are quite compact, but I was a solo stayer so fine with me. Beautiful breakfast in the mornings. I would highly recommend. Will definitely be back!
